The Indigo Swallow

The Indigo Swallow is made from pure linen in a clear, medium indigo blue — the blue of open sky in the hour before dusk, settled and full of movement at the same time. The linen is mid-weight, with a smooth surface and a slight natural texture that gives depth to the solid colour.

The silhouette is a classic, full-length button-down shirt with a pointed collar, long sleeves with a single-button cuff, and a slightly curved hem that falls below the hip. Down the left front panel, a vertical column of three swallows is hand-embroidered in copper-toned thread — birds in mid-flight, each one slightly lower than the last, as though passing through the fabric itself.

The embroidery is spare and precise: no fill, no background, just the outline and detail of birds in motion, rendered in a warm metallic thread that contrasts quietly with the cool blue ground.
